So, tomorrow we leave for ABO, and we only get to one bag each. Don’t really want to take a lot, one I’m tired of dragging bags around, two we can wash clothes and its only couple weeks. So my roomies and I started trying to get bags ready for that today. Then we learned that our team leader’s kids could take some extra luggage with them to the Islands when they come, just couple weeks after us. We are only aloud ONE checked bag, that weighs 30kilos which is like 60 something lbs. and leave the rest here, hoping to get it at some point. HAHA…my bags alone were 59, 60 and 65 and the other girls were around same thing! Yes, we followed the packing list, no we didn’t bring too much, we need it all! J We all paid fees to get what we wanted here, it’s not like we can run to Walmart when we get there. We were supper excited that they could do this for us!
The thing is, we have to get 2 check bags ready for the kids today, they are picking them up tomorrow! So… We unpacked EVERYTHING….all three of us had 3 checked bags each. We each tried to figure out what we Absolutely MUST have first when we get there and put those things in our personal bag to check. Then we got all of our Kitchen stuff in a trunk and all our linens in another. DONE! J
Oh, but wait…there is still too much that we really would like to have as soon as we get there and not wait a year to get! We’ve moved soo much around today…it’s been crazy! Other workers were laughing at the mounds of “things” everywhere but still being supportive in the process. All said and done, we are tired and come to the conclusion that we are going to pay for a bag to just get it over there! Be done with it and move on!! It’s not like we didn’t pay to get them this far, what’s little more, He will provide! We are hoping to “barter” with them and get the price down as low as possible…but we’ll see! I was proud of us getting as much as humanly possible in every nook and cranny; it’s our First Big thing as roomies…well besides flying over here. J
Continue to be on your knees for us as we go to ABO these next couple of weeks. Thanks so much!
